Holmes High School Mission Statement is to guide students to discover, pursue and connect to their post-secondary dreams.

School Day Update

Graduation

Graduation is a time of celebration and is a reflection of you and your family. We strive to make this a special day for all involved. The Class of 2013 will be graduating on June 7^th, 2013 at 7:00 pm on the campus of Holmes High School. Weather permitting the ceremony will be held at Tom Ellis Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at David M. Evans field house. The location will not be known until the day of graduation.

Graduation practice

A mandatory graduation practice will be held on June 7^th at 9:00 am. It is very important that you arrive to graduation practice in the field house gym by 9:00 am. If you do not attend graduation practice we will assume you do not wish to participate in the ceremony and you will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony.

At graduation practice you will receive the following;

Cap and gown (you must have to participate)

10 tickets
Information on ordering pictures
Holmes medallion
Congratulations yard sign

Fees

It is the responsibility of each graduate to make sure all fees owed to the school are taken care of prior to the day of graduation. This includes any school property such as books, sports uniforms, lunch charges or any other related fees. Please check with Ms. Holland to see if you owe any fees.

Graduation attire

Students must dress appropriately under their graduation gown.White or light colored clothing for girls is preferred so the colors do not show through your white gown. White collared shirt and dark dress pants for boys is preferred. Flat dress shoes are suggested. Please no jeans or gym shoes.

Pictures

There will be someone located near the stage taking pictures as you cross the stage to receive your diploma. You will receive information on ordering these pictures at graduation practice.

Notes

As you cross the stage you will receive your diploma cover. You will have to report to the cafeteria to receive your actual diploma.

After graduation practice we will have a senior cookout at approximately 11:00. More information will be given at practice.
